HISTORY
The company is established as an electrical installation company under the name “Instalaciones Eléctricas Constantino Zapico García” by Constantino Zapico García. At that time, the field of activity only encompasses the region of Asturias.
Aquilino and Jesús María Zapico, sons of Constantino Zapico, found the installation company IPEZSA (Instalaciones y Proyectos Eléctricos Zapico S.A.), to give continuity to the work that their father has been developing since 1964.
Two years later, IPEZSA execute the project for the electrical installation of the Civil Guard headquarters in El Rubin, Oviedo, for the building company Agroman. This is a turning point for IPEZSA.
IPEZSA moves to a new facility in the Industrial Area of Riaño-I. The engineering company SAZEPI is also established that same year, to provide IPEZSA with technical support in response to their increased workload.
SAZEPI starts to provide other companies with technical support as well, and begins to work in the mining sector alongside the public limited company Hullera Vasco-Leonesa.
SAZEPI is in charge of the refurbishment of the Airport building of Santiago de Compostela.
SAZEPI is in charge of the electrical installation of the New Gijón School of Engineering.
SAZEPI completes the engineering and installation of the Buenavista building complex designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava.
SAZEPI carries out its first international Project in partnership with Continental Conveyor. The scope is a Motor control centre, together with a control room integrated inside 20ft containers to use in the conveyor belts of a boring machine.
SAZEPI performs the engineering and electrical installation of the New Central University Hospital of Asturias.
SAZEPI is registered under the ISO 9001:2008 and obtains the certificate.
SAZEPI updates its image, creating website and new logo.
